Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDR)
Canada Rides is pleased to offer a guided BDR experience.
In 2025, we will have the opportunity to visit 5 different BDRs.
What is a BDR?
Backcountry Discovery Routes
Backcountry Discovery Routes is a non-profit advocacy organization that creates off-highway routes for dual-sport and adventure motorcycle travel. BDRs are found all across the United States. In 2025, Canada Rides will be exploring the MA, NE, WY, OR, and WA BDRs.
The Trails
BDRs offer a combination of forest service roads, fire roads, two-track paths, and backcountry trails suitable for ADVs. The routes include paved surfaces, beginner-friendly trails, and expert-level paths, with options to bypass challenging segments.
Details and Logistics
Ride Dates for 2025:
MANE BDR (Mid Atlantic and North East combined): July 12-20, 2025. Click here to book your spot!
WY BDR (Wyoming) and Montana Mountain Tour: August 8-25, 2025. Click here to make a deposit.
OR BDR (Oregon) and WA BDR (Washington): September 12-22, 2025. Click here to make a deposit.
Logistics:
For all our U.S. rides, riders must have a valid passport to enter the U.S. Riders are responsible for ensuring they meet VISA requirements for entry into the U.S.
All accommodations will be in hotels or cabins (no camping).
Riders participating in the MANE BDR will travel to the starting point on their motorcycles.
For the rides in Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, and Washington, the motorcycles will be shipped to the starting location. Riders are responsible for transporting their motorcycles to the shipping company's headquarters within the agreed timeframe.
