Three-Day Blast: West Virginia

Join us for an exciting 3-day blast to West Virginia and Back.  Covering 650 km/day, this ride is not for neophytes. We will be holding this event twice in 2025.

Dates:

West Virginia Blast: July 11-13

West Virginia Fall Solstice Blast:  September 19-21

We'll be starting out early from Fort Erie on Friday morning, crossing the border and riding 650km to Clarksburg WV for the July trip, or Buckhannon WV for the September trip. Both nights will be in the same accommodations, so you don't have to pack up for the Saturday loop ride. These trips will have different routes, especially on Saturday, so doing both will allow you to explore more of West Virginia. Regardless of which trip you choose (if not both), Saturday will be an awe-inspiring day covering some of the best roads you have ever ridden. This is the day you'll be talking about to your riding buddies. On Sunday, we'll be heading back to Fort Erie, then splitting up to head home. These will be small, fast groups of 6 riders.  

Please note the following requirements:

  • You must be riding a 650cc+ multi-cylinder road or adventure touring motorcycle.

  • You must be a Canada Rides Alumni member

  • You must have a full M license (no M1 or M2).

  • You must have a Canadian passport, or a valid visa to enter the US.

  • You must have experience in long-distance sport-paced touring. Must be comfortable riding 650 km a day, plus the distance from your home to Fort Erie.

If you have never ridden West Virginia, this is the ideal opportunity to try it with an experienced guide!

All overnights will be in motels or at private locations, no camping. 

​

The price of this three-day blast is $250/Rider.

What is included:

  • Organize all routes from beginning to end, so you can just show up and ride! 

  • Provide tips and hints ahead of time on things to pack, helping you prepare for your adventure. For Road Tours, GPX route files are provided prior to the trip so you can load them in your GPS.

  • Recommend all accommodations and evening meals

  • Ensure our routes have sufficient rest stops for gas and food with alternate routing if necessary.

  • Guides carry tools to do trail-side repairs for most common problems (punctured tires, basic fixes). For Road Tours, CAA Plus is recommended

  • A guide for the entire journey ensures the group stays together.

What's not included:

  • There will not be a chase/support vehicle on this trip.

  • Meals and refreshments 

  • Cost of accommodations

  • Cost of fuel

  • Transportation to the start and endpoint (GTA West)
